City of Dallas picks up trash in your roll-cart trash can on Tuesday and Fridays. If you have a rear entrance, place the trash can at the edge of your alley way. If you have a front entrance only, place the trash can at the edge of your sidewalk.

In January 2007, Sanitation Services expanded its recycling program to include a 96-gallon Big Blue recycling roll cart. You can now recycle more items with your Big Blue recycling roll cart and there is no need to separate! Just put everything into the same Big Blue recycling roll cart and place it out every other week on your recycling day for collection. It couldnt be easier! Brush, yard trash, bagged leaves, and discarded items are picked up curbside during the week of the 4th Monday of the month. See Calendar on page 8 for more information and dates. Putting out Big Trash before the designated time-frame can result in a fine up to $3,000! To request non-scheduled trash pickup, call 311 for service and cost.
